Dr. Jodi Duff is a native of southwestern Ohio. She received her BA in Biology from Thomas More College in Kentucky in 2005, then attended Ohio State University where she received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2009. After visiting South Fork several times and seeing what a welcoming, small-town community exists here, she knew this was the place for her and her family to settle down and grow roots. Dr. Duff’s passions include dentistry, behavior, and internal medicine; she is Fear Free Certified. She looks forward to developing long lasting relationships with you and the pets you love!

Dr. Duff’s husband Riley and their two young sons have an assortment of dogs and cats and love all things outdoors. You’ll find them riding bikes, kayaking, cross country skiing, snowboarding, and exploring this beautiful area we are all so lucky to call home.

At home, Jesica has 3 spoiled rotten pups, Raider, Ruff, & Cali, as well as two scaredy-cats, Sagwa and Logan. In her spare time, Jesica enjoys reading in her hammock by the river and going on mountain rides exploring this amazing area we are privileged to call home!

  • Tara Benson

    Client Service

Tara is a Colorado native, born on the Western Slope and raised in the Valley. She attended Del Norte Schools and went on to graduate from Colorado State University with a BA in Technical Journalism. Tara spent most of her adult life on the Front Range raising her family, volunteering at her kids’ schools, even serving as the student council advisor for four years. She also persevered through brain cancer treatments, which led to an interest in advocating for patients to receive wellness and preventative care. Recently, circumstances allowed Tara to move back to her beloved mountains. She is new to the inner workings of the veterinary field and is learning as quickly as she can to support this much-needed service in her home community. She also is a writer, copy editor, photo manager, and mom of one college graduate and one college student. She loves photography, all things outdoors (especially mountains) and spending time with her family.

She has two fur babies who are the light of her life: Rio and River; two spoiled pups who were rescued locally! She enjoys reading, walking her dogs and getting on the river (or lakes!) on her kayak or inner tube as often as possible. She practices yoga, tai-chi, and qigong in her spare time. She has owned two businesses since moving here and now looks forward to spending her days with all the animals who will visit Dr. Jodi and get unconditional love!

She has adopted several special needs and rescue pets that go everywhere with her. She and her husband, Bill, reside in Pagosa Springs with their hobby farm menagerie of 3 horses, 3 dogs, 1 cat and a white fronted Amazon parrot. She is beyond excited to be a part of the SFVC team and looks forward to sharing her passion and love for animals with you and meeting your fur families!

  • REBECCA BEAN

    Veterinary Nurse

Rebecca was born and raised in Southern California but has enjoyed living in the high country in Colorado since 2011 after falling in love with it on a family vacation. She owned and operated a large dog boarding, daycare and grooming facility in Breckenridge for 10 years before selling and relocating to South Fork where she currently co-owns and operates Ruff Dogs with her partner in life, Steve. Together they enjoy many of the outdoor activities South Fork has to offer such as hiking, climbing, rafting, backcountry snowboarding, and horseback riding.

Always having had a love for animals, Rebecca's family now includes 2 horses, 2 donkeys, 2 goats and 2 dogs. She spends much of her focus on endurance riding with her horses and training the donkeys for burro races and future pack trips as they are still very young.

Rebecca is currently enrolled in a veterinary technician program so she is really excited to work with and learn from Dr. Duff.
